2024/2025 Kidding began 14 December 2024. We will be offering kids for sale sired by Bear Creek BC N1284 Legend; Bear Creek BC N1298 Grizzly; Bear Creek BC N1304 Gentleman Jim; and KMSL ROR1`Smoke Show. IF you are looking for a new Herdsire, Breeding Doe, or a Kid to show, we welcome you to schedule a Farm Visit to check out our Genetics. We strive to offer Bucks that will add fast weight gain to your herd so that you can get your kids to market at weaning, 60 - 80 lbs. at 3 months old.
We have been a closed herd since 2008 with the exception of bringing in new herdsires in 2009; 2010; 2011; 2015, 2017, 2020 and 2024. We prefer the Traditional South African Boer Goat with the white body and Red Head
UPDATES:6 Aug 2022: Hey, just a tiny bit of braggin, you know what they say, even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then. We took 4 goats to the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield, MO that was held on 6 Aug 2022. Bear Creek BC M1217 Angel DOB 3/12/22 placed 1st in the 3-6 month class. Bear Creek L1189 Honeysuckle Rose placed 1st in the 6-9 month class and was the Overall Grand Champion Doe Bear Creek BC M1213 a Buck, placed 2nd in the 3-6 month class. Bear Creek BC M1198 a Buck, placed 1st in the 6-9 month class and was the Junior Rsv Champion I will post pictures soon on the Show Goats page.
17 September 2022: Another Show Brag, Bear Creek BC L1189 Honeysuckle Rose was reserve Overall Grand Doe at the West Point ABGA Shoot Out Show in Nevada, MO.
2 June 2023: Bear Creek BC M1243 was the Junior Doe Champion, THEN the Supreme Overall Champion of the Lawrence County Show in Missouri. Congratulations Payton!!!!! Picture has been placed on the Customers' Winnings Page.

Welcome to Bear Creek Farm Boer Goats, we are pleased you stopped by. We are located in Lebanon, MO, and offer Fullblood Boer Goats for sale in Missouri. We are within a few hours drive from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee, Kentucky and Illinois.

Major attractions are located nearby, including, The Beautiful Lake of the Ozarks just 25 miles North on Hwy 5, Bennett Springs State Park, a gorgeous trout stream 12 miles North on Hwy 64 and of course Branson and Table Rock Lake are just 100 miles away, down I-44 to Springfield and then South on Hwy 65. So if you get a chance to come and visit, plan an extra couple of days for a mini vacation.
We have been involved with Goats for a very long time. Our first goat on the farm was purchased for her milk, way back in 1974, due to our son being allergic to cow's milk. Then in the early 90's, we purchased Brush, Spanish, Pygmy and Milk Goats to clear our 120 acres. In 1997, we obtained a percentage Boer Buck, and he definitely improved our herd of goats. In 2000 we traveled to Texas Labor Day Production Sales to include Norman Kohl's, Powell/Holman and Sunny Acres to buy the best South African Boer Goat breeding stock we could afford and thus began building our Fullblood Boer Goat Herd. We have continued to attend production sales and purchase Boer Goats from EGGS at Showstopper, Farmer's Stock Exchange, Silver Boer Goat Exchange, Paul Payne, Don Smith, 7A++ and more.

One of the most important additions to our herd was our 2003 - 2007 herd sire DSM Richard*Ennobled*, an Ennobled Starman and Wobbles son, whom we purchased from Don Smith. Richard has given us some awesome kids, one of his Boer goat Does placed 6th out of 94 and another placed 12th at the ABGA National Show in Louisville , KY in 2005. One of his bucks, Bear Creek BC T122 Mika, placed 6 th out of 117 in the 3 to 6 month old buck class at the 2006 ABGA Nationals held in Monroe , LA 12 - 17 June 2006. Richard's bucks continued to do well in the show ring, in 2007 BC V205 Yogi had 40 Points and BC W213 Joshua now has 99 and 10 unassigned points towards ennoblement. We have continued to add beautiful herd sires to our breeding program, check out our herd sire page.
We have a 100% Fullblood Boer Goat Herd, have put together the best genetics we could buy. Quality is our priority. We were participating in the BGIN Boer Goat Improvement Network program with ABGA American Boer Goat Association when it was active and are serious about developing a Boer Goat with exceptional rate of gain for the Commercial Meat Goat Producer. Goat 101 Financials: Hey, just going to share some thoughts for you to consider: You could purchase a CD for $5000.00 and hope you get 6% interest. That should give you at least $300.00 for the year. OR If you purchased 4 Does for $5000.00. Kid them out, you should get 8 kids. Lots of scenarios, BUT, we will be cheap and just figure you get 4 kids and sell them cheap for near sale barn prices of $500.00 each. Thus $2000.00. Livestock is gambling, but, odds are usually in your favor.

JUST INFORMATION: Please know that the pictures of Bucks up above on this page that were born in March 2022, are NOT available AND left on here "simply" to give you an idea of what you may expect to see when Bucks are nearing a year old. Scroll on down to see the ones FOR SALE NOW. THEN, keep scrolling to see individual pictures and information on each Buck. NOT all are pictured, but, we are working on that.
The Bucks born in Dec 23 thru April 24 have ALL been sold. We started kidding 14 Dec 2024, so, we should have some Buck Kids to offer around 1 April 2025.
We have 1 older wether to offer as a companion animal, brush eater OR for meat. 1332 was born 4 April 2024, weighed 87 lbs. on 10 Dec 2024. $300.00

UPDATE 20 September 2022: I wrote the Commercial Goat Operation 101 in 2020, see below. Lots of changes have happened in the market, most of them good. I have not changed the numbers, but, you will get the idea. A good Buck will pay for himself!!! Commercial Goat Operation 101 Consider your Kids normally weigh 50 lbs. when 3 months old New Buck cost $1500.00 Your Kids from new Buck now weigh 60 lbs. when 3 months old Market price is $3.00 per lb. UPDATE 03/28/2021 GREAT NEWS: I wrote this in 2020, this year 2021 I first heard price of $4.10 THEN heard $6.00 a pound. WOW a great time to be raising goats. You sell 50 kids: you now have i.e. 50 kids X 10 lbs = 500 MORE lbs to sell @ $3.00 per lb. This equals $1500.00, so your Buck is paid for the first year . This is just stuff to think about, your kids could weigh even more and/or you may have to upgrade some of your Doe’s to get where you want to go. If fast weight gain is your goal, it is cheaper to feed a good goat than a bad one. PLUS even your labor should be cut in half if you are selling kids at 3 months instead of 6 months. One more thing, you may want to pull the top kids and offer them as show prospects to the 4-H and FFA kids and that could easily pay for new buck #2. There are NO guarantees when raising Livestock except that someday they will die. A lot depends on weather, management and so much more, it is a continued learning experience. Hey, if you like them big, her kids can get there. Take a look at 1253 her daughter also being offered for sale. Cheetah's Pride weighed 200 lbs. on 24 January 2025. That was after she kidded on 19 December 2024 with a Buck and Doe. She produces good kids, her 2 Bucks 1197 and 1198 sold for $2500.00 EACH in 2022. Her Dam 590 Cheetah was one of our Show Does and was also a big framed doe. She is currently feeding her kids so NOT ready to leave the farm yet, BUT, should be ready around mid March 2025.

This year she had a single buck on 16 January 2025 that she lost due to NO fault of her own. I believe something was just NOT right with him. THUS we are offering her for sale. She was a very, very attentive mom and we felt so very sorry for her. BUT, here is YOUR chance, she is very young and should have many years ahead of her to get it right. She has a great pedigree, 1153 Seabiscuit was her sire and her Dam 1157 Mona Lisa was bred to our new Buck and has produced a Buck (1355) on 6 Jan 2025 that is on the top of my keeper list.
